What is Quiet?

Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings establish how much noise reduction occurs through a partition (such as a window.) STC ratings apply to almost every aspect of buildings–windows, doors, walls, floors and ceilings. Most homes built over 18 years ago used single-pane windows which provided STC ratings of 15-20. Typical dual-pane windows average 28-30. Serious Materials has implemented its field-proven quiet engineering technologies to manufacture a remarkable product line that spans STCs of 28 to 43, providing the ultimate quiet environment and reducing noise by up to 85% over other windows.

The exterior glazing results in a clean interior finish and great sightlines.
